Long before Itzel’s journey into Xibalba, there stood a great tree that connected the heavens, the earth, and the underworld. This is its story.
Set in the mythical past, The Tree of Life follows a new adventure inspired by Maya mythology, filled with strange creatures, ancient gods, and the wonder of the natural world (and especially trees, of course). Readers familiar with The Jade Necklace may recognise a few characters and legends woven throughout that story, while new readers can jump in here without needing to read the trilogy first.
Whether you’re returning to this world or discovering it for the first time, I hope this story feels like a fun ride down the rainbow into the sacred land of Tamoanchan.
